So, I had been looking for somewhere that I could take both Children without a whole, ‘Military Operation’ i.e Having to pack snacks, drinks, set the pram up and somewhere that would be entertaining AND safe! Then I remembered about the Playgroup in the village next to where we live
It’s a lovely big Village Hall, with plenty of room for the Toddlers to run about, but small enough for people to chat, with a separate baby area.
Each time we have been I’ve been lucky that Willow has slept most of the time which has given me time to run about with Gabriel, and ‘road test’ all the different toys and cars available to him. They also have a lovely wooden slide, something which Gabriel loves!
Each week a different craft activity is chosen by the organisers, such as finger painting, string crafts and drawing/colouring.
We have a snack with fresh fruit – two hours have never gone so fast!
I am definitely going to start seeking out another Playgroup to attend regularly, I used to think that they would be full of Mums chatting, full of cliques and Child-minders, but I was so wrong!
Here’s to many fun weeks! (and no tidying up messy play for me…..)
