I am very excited to announce that I have been invited to a VERY special event next Friday!
The event has been organised by Chicago Town (The no1 frozen pizza company) who have arranged, just like the Chicago Town SWAT team, for us to jump from a plane and then have a feast of the new tasty range of Chicago Town pizzas!
How cool is that?!
The skydive (and pizza!) will take place at North West Skydive Centre in Flookburgh next Friday and I am very excited!
I skydived for the first time last year in memory of Matilda Mae and loved it, and well, I adore pizza, so this is the perfect event for me! What’s even more special is that last time when I jumped I shouted hello to Tilda, and I plan to do just that again. This week, Tilda should be celebrating her second Birthday. It breaks my heart that she is not with Jennie and her Family. I think it is fate that this opportunity has arisen this week and so I am going to go for it!
Team Matilda Mae are skydiving again in August and although I will be part of that again, I feel super honoured to be jumping next week for The Lullaby Trust too. All part of the fundraising!! I’d love if you could sponsor me, if you have any spare pennies? You can do so here
The Lullaby Trust is a charity very close to my heart, Jennie is a friend of mine and her daughter Matilda Mae sadly died at just nine months old last May from SIDS. The Lullaby Trust is a charity that supports parents who have been affected from SIDS, they promote safe sleep for babies, and they also help with much needed research into why SIDS so cruelly takes away babies from their families.
The reason I loved the skydive experience was the buzz of jumping, the feeling of falling and then flying, the plane (oh gosh that small plane!) the feeling of being free and dropping through the clouds. It’s so amazing, and I cannot wait to do it again. But, I am still terrified! It’s pretty scaring sat on the edge of the plane…
Here’s a photograph from last year’s jump!
Watch this space for photos, reviews of pizza and white-knuckle fun! EEK!
