Clandestine Cake Club

I have finally done it.

I’ve joined the cake revolution and registered with the Clandestine Cake Club

Not only have I done this, but I have also created a group for my area!

If you aren’t already aware, the cake club is where bakers meet up every month or so and take a homemade cake with them, made to a specified theme.

They stay to chat, eat cake and drink tea etc, then all take various pieces of cake home.

What’s not to love about that?!

The unique thing about the CCC is the ‘Clandestine’ aspect. This is the location of the meeting, it’s kept secret until a few days before- what fun!

Now I love baking. I adore it. Not always great at it, but I’ve learned from mistakes over the years, and also benefited from chance experiments!

Baking is how I relax. My friends often ask me how I have time to bake so much, the answer is.. I don’t! But I make time. Late at night usually, with a glass of wine, or fizz i’m feeling glamorous!

Lucky for me my Husband and I have a deal, I bake – and then washes up on the proviso that he gets to eat the delights. Which suits me, because oddly I don’t often eat what I bake.

But when others bake, I eat! I love to sample other’s cake & baked goods. Especially scones and flapjacks!

The first meeting will be held at the beginning of August, i’m so excited and nervous. I’ve chosen the theme ‘Fruity’ so bakers will have plenty of choice and inspiration for their first cake.

The Clandestine Cake Club is free to join and is non profit. It’s a great way to meet new people, share tips and taste
lots of different cake!

Do you like to bake? If so, check to see of there’s a club in your area, or create one like I did! Eek!!!!
